The BC Insulators Union Local 118 is very pleased to be hosting the first cohort of the newly-designed entry level commercial insulation course at the BC Institute of Technology from September 11 to 15.
The course is designed to provide new insulators a comprehensive overview of the commercial aspects of the trade to better prepare them for the job and to give them a head start on the 1st year of trade school.
Students will be at BCIT for 5 days of training with Coordinator Ken Jakobsson, our former Local 118 President who was recently awarded the W.F. “Pablo” Bleiker Award by the International to recognize his impressive contributions to training. Good luck to those who are participating!
