As mentioned in a previous post, Build TogetHER BC has introduced a recognition system for outstanding supporters of Women in Trades, and Build TogetHER.
Ashley Duncan, Secretary-Treasurer of Build TogetHER, presented awards to both Neil Munro, and to Lee Loftus, who’ve continued to champion the Women in Trades movement.
And also to the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied workers Local 118 itself.
The Insulators currently have around 9% women, which is one of the highest percentages among the Building Trades, and that number is continuing to grow.
