The BC Insulators are very pleased to announce we have finished the mechanical insulation work project to help the Vancouver Food Bank charity.
And thanks to insulation and fittings supplied by Frost Insulation and the use of a scissor lift, the job went off without a hitch.
Kudos to Frost Insulation and their Customer Service Manager Rob Nofield, who went to considerable effort to make this project a reality.
Shane Anderson and Michael Pengelly from our BC Institute of Technology mechanical insulation program performed the installation, supervised by Instructors Ken Jacobsson – our BC Insulators union President – and Executive Board member Garrett Gronick.
Their hard work was much appreciated and looks fantastic.
We have now completed insulating the unfinished portion of their heating system retrofit and will be looking at billing data to determine the actual energy savings from doing this work.
We hope and strongly believe that savings from energy costs will allow the Food Bank to put additional food on the table for hungry Vancouver families.
