BC Insulators union member Mark Guay staffs the booth at Buildex Trade Show in Vancouver

Our 5th annual visit to the huge Buildex Trade Show in Vancouver from Feb 25-26 was a big success!

There were a lot of interested parties in our sector who stopped by the booth to chat about mechanical insulation, upcoming work, and the state of the industry.

We were particularly encouraged to speak with a non-union insulation contractor, who was very impressed with our participation and that our membership is supporting progressive initiatives to promote the entire mechanical insulation industry. We hope that we can have further conversation on how we may be able to work together in the future.

At our booth we also had enquiries about mechanical insulation  from Pacific Gateway Hotel, GWL Realty Advisors, Boundary Bay Mechanical, Prism Engineering, Net Zero Energy Solutions, and Community Engineering Services.

It was nice to see some of the energy professionals that we had invited including, Tracy Gosling from the BC Non-Profit Housing Association, Michelle Lin from Gateway Casinos, and Rob Nofield from Frost Insulation, and Marvin Cheng, Project Manager from Aarc West all drop by the booth while taking in the Buildex Trade Show.

And special thanks to Mark Guay from the BC Insulators union for his stellar work at our booth, joining BC Insulators Vice-President Neil Munro in showing the flag.
