Anti-Union Bill C-377 returns in Senate

Bill C-377

The Conservatives’ anti-union Bill C-377 has suddenly returned from limbo and is once again on the government agenda.

Bill C-377 would financially hurt labour organizations by forcing extensive publication of all financial dealings, obligations which no other organizations such as those for lawyers, doctors, architects, engineers and other occupations face.

Bill C-377 was so flawed that 15 Conservative Senators rebelled against it, taking it out of the legislative process.
